Supra-Rationality

When we consider the rational approach of traversing a distance between point A and point B, the straight line distance AB is the rational approach. But what if our parameters for distance is not simply traveling the distance but creating something beautiful. We may say there exists a supra-rational approach to traversing A to B which cuts through C, thus creating a triangular shape which is more complex and hence more beautiful than the straight line.

So too does the divine work in our lives. Life is a matter of twists and turns because the supra-rational approach produces far more beauty than simple mathematical approaches. If our lives were simply rational it would feel robotic and pre-planned too much. We would go straight from each task to the next in a clearly revealed way. The Divine however concerns itself with hiddenness and unexpectedness so as to keep the individual bound by fate to keep guessing what comes next.
